These links are not working anymore. They all give .exe files which are having size less than 2mb each.

Just downloaded and use MapSource to put new maps on my Nuvi 2599 LTD Europe navigator. For some reason I cannot see maps installed. At the same time I got 2 new files on my CD card City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2025_25.img and City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2025_25 2.img
Please tell me what I did wrong and what to do next.

These two files on your SD card are they the same size 3.67 GB ?
Try putting one in a folder called Map ,renaming it to gmapsupp.img
Using MapSource only creates the map file an Advanced series device like this will work but you are missing out on additional features.
If you haven't check your garmindevice.xml and confirm your HWID

If you want to use Unlocked maps your device will require Patching
Check out the thread and this Post for HWID 1947
If you are not sure what the two files are ,use a tool like it will help you identify them and show you where the .img goes and what name, based on your device.
As I said in Post #13 an Advanced series device like this will work with MapSource created maps, but you are missing out on additional features. Voice command, Junction view FourSquare etc.

In the past I believe someone would post the complete gmapsupp.img of North America. Is that still possible? In my particular head-unit the update procedure just involves inserting a USB drive with a newer version of that file, and it takes care of the rest. I don't recognize the format of the other downloads with the multiple folders, etc. I don't know that mine will accept that, it doesn't seem to be at face value anyway.
