About Parkopedia, it looks like there is an unlock file directive .unl but no actual corresponding ASR file like :
06FLCY6C.ASR <--- Missing
06FLCY6C.unl <--- Present
... ?
Fixed, but your nuvi 3597 LMT does not use them

I'm hoping someone smart can help, I have a Garmin Nuvi 3790 (not the lifetime maps version) with old 2012 North American maps that I'm tying to update. I've read a bunch of guides in this forum and spent the last few hours trying to figure everything out. What files do I need to download and replace on my Nuvi 3790 to get it all updated? I got the new City Navigator 2021 gmapprom.img downloaded and all the other files that were posted in the 1st page of this thread but what about the ASR/JCV files? On the 1st page of this thread do I download the ASR or ASR2 rar file and why? Which junction view file, the 13xx 14xx 765 480x270 large.rar I'm guessing?
Thanks to anyone for help on what files I need exactly? I already backed up my garmin and replaced most of the other files in the hidden system folder on the garmin. Just not sure on the other files.
EDIT - I've tried both ASR winrar archives (ASR and ASR2) and when I try voice commands on the unit it won't work says "American English not supported" so right now seems like neither is working, hmmm, anyone have any ideas?Last edited by Gigahertz21; 1st August 2020 at 05:54 AM.

Welcome to the forum.
Software 5.10
Check you have en_US.srd or es_US.srd in the ASR folder depending on English or Spanish.
If you don't have lots of addresses you want to save a reset is always a good way to finish.

Thanks for trying to help, I did the factory reset and same issue persists with voice commands not working. I took a screenshot of my ASR folder on my Garmin device as seen below.
I have SRD files in there just not called actually the same as you mentioned, I just kept the same SRD files had before on there I didn't delete them, I just replaced the .ASR/.SRX files that were posted on the 1st page of this thread.
From the 1st page on this thread where all the files are listed to download, there are two links for ASR files. One says "ASR(8420).rar" and the other is "ASR2(8420).rar" which one is the correct one if you know?

Looks like you have the correct ASR files
Srd files
Use TreeSize free on Win 10 ,expand all folders and take a screen shot like my image then we can see what's missing

Got your PM and replied to it. Sorry for the delayed response, just got back from a family trip to Yellowstone National Park. My Garmin Nuvi 3790 worked pretty good on the trip with the new maps, the only thing that doesn't work is the voice command feature as mentioned so maybe we can get that part figured out. I downloaded the Srd files you linked and put them on the unit but didn't make a difference. Here is a screenshot using TreeSize of my Garmin file structure:
Edit:Just a shout out to Garmin_Nuvi, we got the voice command feature to work again using these new maps on my Garmin Nuvi 3790T. I had to put the entire North American image on my unit instead of just the lower 49 smaller image. Once I did that voice commands now work, so apparently voice commands don't like smaller map images for whatever reason.Last edited by Garmin_Nuvi; 10th August 2020 at 04:12 AM.
