Garmin Dezl 560 does not see the map after updating with Garmin Express
The problem appeared after an update with Garmin Express.I turned on the navigation to the computer, Garmin Express announced that there were updates. I let all the updates install.
Then I turned on the navigation. All other languages except English were deleted. But the bigger problem is that you can't see the streets on the map. The settings show that the maps are installed. When you search for an address, it finds it and makes a route, but only the route is visible, no roads are visible.
I have reset the settings from the menu but it has no effect.
It would be appreciated if someone could tell me how I can fix the navigation.biglubo Reviewed by biglubo on . I solved the problem. I found the files from another Dezl 560, replaced them, updated the cards and everything was fine.

Seems likely there was just a minor corruption of the mapping data when it was transferred to the device. Re-installing the maps from GarminExpress to overwrite the previous installation would have also fixed the problem. Where GE claims "You're up to date!", click on "Map Details", then "Map Options" and it'll give you a button to reinstall the map.

I reinstalled the map. The problem was not solved. Then I installed another map and the problem remained. It was not the problem with the card.

Sounds like you are using Unlocked maps not Garmin Express to update your maps?
Check in your .system folder for without this base map you can have similar symptoms.Last edited by Garmin_Nuvi; 18th September 2024 at 03:11 AM.
Unless you are a "New" member, having used the Thanks button regularly is the quickest way to get help.

No. From garmin express I installed them. There was not enough space and I put an extra SD card. After copying the files from the other garmin, the same maps from SD card worked correctly.
Maybe something happened during the Garmin software update. Because after that the language files disappeared, apparently some other files too. Maybe gmapbmap.img too.
I also thought it might be because of the basemap, but another time I put another map with its name and they still worked correctly.
