@Oliks
I strongly suspected it'd been cross-flashed previously. He's probably used a wrong original firmware to make the patched one and got away with it until some incompatible data in its non-vol region was accessed during or alfter the GarminExpress firmware update.
About your problems using G7ToWin: If it shows in Device Manager and it shows in Updater.exe's GUI then it will also show in G7ToWin if you set it up properly. You must first configure it as shown in this pic: . After that, attach the device and look in Device Manager to ensure it's showing there. Then follow this in G7ToWin: . IF YOU CAN BE SURE WHAT ITS HWID IS NOW WE CAN GUESS WHICH BOOT.BIN/LDR.BIN WAS USED!
Please beware flashing it with anything not safe named (XXXX01000xxx.rgn when XXXX is the known HWID of the device). Force flashing with any other naming (e.g. OUT.rgn or 1.rgn or anything else) might make things worse when we don't know its present HWID. Read the second part of , particularly reasons for clearing non-volatile memory.

It's lost its HWID. Not a good sign for successful recovery. Erasing the non-vol region 154 might help but it's not reading an sd card it seems. You can try using "0" for the HWID folder name and flash 2077's firmware BIN files. Anything you try now can't really make it worse.... or give up and strip usable parts for sale.
