Map Accuracy
Is it common for maps to be incredibly out of date, even with the latest updates?
I was trying to find a park, but it wouldn't come up on my Nuvi. When I got to the park (via Android phone), I checked on the Nuvi and found it was referring to a name from 5 years ago. (In 2016 the park was renamed).
My wife was taking this as an example of how inadequate GPS units are.

From my understanding Garmin sources its data from various agency's relating to the map area covered.
HERE North America LLC for one example from a large list
A Park name change might not have been recorded at the source they use.

new highway was opened in the northeast of Hungary last month
it's not even drawn in the map, that's a shame
users will have to wait few more months for new map update
I wonder what kind of people is actually willing to pay for this type of service from Garmin

Just installed it, and is a deprecation, a DOWNGRADE, at least for Portugal, there are several streets that are correctly named in the previous versions and now have no name! The same with the POI's

If I have to use google maps to get accurate results, it begs the question to me as to the value of a Garmin.
The other thing I notice, since the title of my thread is "Map Accuracy", is Garmin saying the intersection is 1 km away, when I am actually 20 metres from the intersection, and even the Garmin map illustrates that I am at the intersection. (I'll have to take a photo next time to show.)
