Multiple Maps on SDcard for Nuvi 205w
Im attempting to get four NT maps on the 205w recognised. Ive had no issues on my newer devices (1390, 3790), all maps listed, I can select or deselect as required.
On the 205w, Ive only managed to get two maps listed/recognised.
Is there a limitation on maps or different naming convention?
details are:
/SDCard/Garmin/gmapsupp.img (recognised)
/SDCard/Garmin/gmapsup1.img (recognised)
/SDCard/Garmin/gmapsup2.img (not recognised)
/SDCard/Garmin/gmapsup2.img (not recognised)
(by recognised, meaning, they are listed in Menu>Settings>Map>Map Info)
I tried having the names as per the 1390, 3790, 'gmapsupp.img', 'gmapsupp1.img', 'gmapsupp2.img', 'gmapsupp3.img'; however only the gmapsupp.img was listed, and managed to get the second map recognised by using the above naming 'gmapsup1.img' etc
Did try searching around, but guess this model is perhaps a fairly early for people to be talking about lately.
Any help much appreciated.

You have worked it out by trial & error.
The 2xx will only cope with two supplementary maps at a time with names gmapsupp.img or gmapsup1.img
You can store many maps on the SD card, but just have to change the map names you want to use to gmapsupp.img & gmapsup1.img
The answer is also in your garmindevice.xml check it out

Tried extending the garmindevice.xml to add more supplemental maps, didn't take though. Assuming the firmware also encapsulates the config/limits.
