Street Pilot C340 - anyone have and are updating it's map?
I have a Garmin Street Pilot C340
Software Version: 6.10
and noticed it's website said it was no longer had map updates offered for it.
Was wondering if anyone would happen to have the same unit as I, and knows what the newest map that would work on it's 2 GB card?
I have tried newer maps that were larger than 2 GB on a card but the map wasn't recognized, so not sure if it was the map or the 4 GB card.
If memory serves, the last map I successfully was running on it was a USA map from over a year ago old.

Garmin Street Pilot C340 is a very old Device.
It recognizes ONLY MapSet <= 2GB, and ONLY NT format,
Your reference Threads are all those about NT Maps, like:
and so on
Search for MapSet <= 2GB, Unlock it if necessary and copy on SD, folder Garmin renaming MapSet in gmapsupp.img if different

Additionally, although the map img file may be up to 2 gibibytes minus 1 byte in size (no more than 2,147,483,647 bytes), that maximum sized map cannot fit on a 2 GB (gigabyte) SD card which is nominally somewhat less than 2,000,000,000 bytes, usually around 1.86 GiB, of usable space. You may use a 4GB card while not exceeding 2,147,484,647 bytes as the size of the map img. The img can be named only gmapsupp.img and must be contained in a folder named Garmin in the root of the SD card, i.e. x:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img is the only correct path for SP C3x0.
If you have trouble using a 4GB card, make a partition of 2 GiB (windows still calls it GB or gigabytes, in it's original binary sense) format the partition in FAT16 (which windows calls just "FAT") and leave the balance of the card unallocated.
