Thank you very much for the simple answer. I did everything as you said. The device now also reads unlocked maps. I also did recovery and it installed a set of update maps without forsquare on my SD card. My question is whether my nuvi 58 now uses the update set with SD cards, all folders and the system folder that formed or continues to use those from its memory.

Unless you are a "New" member, having used the Thanks button regularly is the quickest way to get help.
The clone has downloaded the update map files & additional files laid out & named for the internal storage.
You will have to rename & rearrange them to work properly from the SD Card as below
nuvi 58 SD card.rar
In MyMaps you will most probably still see your older maps ,just uncheck them ,you will have to use the SD card for future updates as you cannot access the internal storage via the USB port.
You will see in the file structure I have left the .unl & .gma these are the files that unlock your maps for your specific nuvi 58, so if you use them you should not need to use gimgun.
