I have a 40 drive, and as much as I try I can't unlock the maps.
Already update the patched firmware with GUPDATER and nothing.
This is the information of my device.

Patching your device is to enable it to use Unlocked maps.
I don't think your device has been patched correctly, looking at your Software version someone advanced the version number by 1 (601) BUT it looks like you used the wrong patched firmware(Possibly 2268) as it should read 591
Use the SD card Patch kit made by FireFox58Drive and DriveSmart 40/50 006-B2267-00 Release 5.90

friend thank you very much for your help, after sd, put the garmin folder, is there another procedure to be done? Garmin is now ready to use any map. I read the first post and I'm a little lost, sorry that this is my first time.

Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card in device and power on.
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
Your device may reboot its self during the process just be patient.
Your SD card will have a new file named 154.bin this is a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device later if needed,so keep a copy of it somewhere safe.

The procedure written al is more simple than it seems, in short you should:
- Extract the content of Package in an empty microSD (this step looks easy, don't you?)
- Power Off Device (completly, by holding Power button for a while) and insert microSD into his slot
- Power On Device. "Loader" will appear on screen for some time and the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
You have nothing else to do (don't matter about Firmware downgrade, it is NON necessary)

Hi!
I got a GPSMAP 64s for Chrismas and I would like to patch the FW in order to use the newest street maps on this device.
I have been reading in different places about universal patchers ...
but there is so much info that I feeling unsure because is a new device and I don´t want to brick it.
Is there a specific tutorial for this device?
thxs for answering!
