Not sure why you downgraded as there is a patch kit for the current FW 5.90 ?
Look in your Garmin folder and open garmindevice .xml and confirm your HWID is 2267
<PartNumber>006-B2267-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>590</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>Drive 50</Description
Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card in device and power on.
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
Your device may reboot its self during the process just be patient.
Your SD card will have a new file named 154.bin this is a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device later if needed,so keep a copy of it somewhere safe.

As a kindly request from
This is a Patched Firmware (JNX + Unlocked Maps) for GPSMAP66i ver. 5.80
Since the GPSMAP66i (HWID: 3284) does not have the GSV and falls into category 2
MSV: Yes, GSV: ---
In this case the Patched Firmware guarantees the correct reading of Unlocked Maps, including NTU and TOPO Maps with CP 65001.
The Patched Firmware guarantees reading of BirdEyes JNX images too.
Be sure to remove All BirdEyes images eventually present on Device before apply Patch
BirdEyes images can be restored AFTER flashing new firmware
Also, in this case the "patched" Firmware can be loaded through the normal update procedure via WebUpdater
Changes made from version 5.50 to 5.80:
- Fixed CIQ applications not being able to download content
- Fixed coordinates display on the Satellite page when in demo mode
- Fixed sending XERO locations to another device
- Fixed rendering of overlapping BirdsEye maps
- Fixed track review map not always centering on the track
- Fixed native spelling of languages in the language selection list
- Fixed address display when selecting messages from the map
- Fixed right-to-left language issues in inReach Messages
- Improved cold temperature battery capacity monitoring
- Updated World Magnetic Model to 2020 release
- Added file-based configuration of inReach Contacts, Quick Texts, and Presets for Professional users
- Added over-the-air inReach settings profiles for Professional users
- Added ability to automatically import GPX data from SD card for Professional users
- Added created date and time to the inReach Message Details page
- Added support for cancelling an inReach Communications Test
- Renamed LiveTrack to Tracking
Give feedback!

APAC stands for ASIA PACIFIC zone.
They are 2 different devices, with different Hardware and different Firmware
Do you need Patch for GPSMAP276Cx APAC?

Hi,
I really appreciate all your hard work! I've previously successfully patched the firmware for my GPSMAP 64st.
Now I've bought a Garmin Fenix 6X and tried to patch firmware version 9.00 using version 3.80 of the FirmwarePatcher. Unfortunately it didn't work.
Is the Fenix 6 series supported? If no, do you know if there is a chance that it will be added?Last edited by stigvig; 26th May 2020 at 05:26 AM.

G'day,
I am new to this I am trying to patch a Fenix 5xPlus to load unlocked Aus/NZ v6 Topo maps - yes I bought them from Garmin but there is no sd slot on a watch.
I downloaded latest firmware from and dropped it into FirmwarePatcher v2.20 after incrementing the firmware version by 1.
It wrote patched firmware (GSV). I then ran it through the JNX patcher and it came back successful.
Do I rename fenix5XPlus_1100_Patched_Patched.gcd to gupdate.gcd and copy it to the fenix watch, if so where does it go? Or do I use webupdater to load it?
Has anyone else done this successfully?
Thanks in advance!
