Here's some other useful tips that might lend a hand to those having trouble.
-Before doing ANY of the above steps, make sure to install Garmin USB drivers on your computer which can be found -->Garmin Corp
-To get preboot mode in the newer Garmin Drive Series devices, hold your finger right between the 'G' and 'A' logo instead of the top left hand corner of the screen.
-If RGN tool fails, you might have to use the command line tool, gfw.exe which can be downloaded
-You will have to navigate to the folder with your gupdate file and type gfw unpack gupdate.gcd (C:/Users/lkajdfhl/Downloads/Garmin35 gfw unpack gupdate.gcd) to get the region/subfiles.
-Next go up one folder and then type gfw bldfldr which will pack the subfiles into a new RGN file. You might need to rename the file using the naming conventions below
More information about this tool can be found here (including source code):
Author: kunix (gpspower.net)
IMPORTANT: All RGN files must be named a certain way before Updater will confirm a flash on your device: XXXX00010XXX.rgn
XXXX-HWID
00010-Put er' there!
XXX-Software version minus the decimal point.
-Once the initial flash has been completed, you may proceed to do device map updates on Garmin Express and firmware updates via Webupdater which can be found in step 2.
-Best results for having many maps might require at least an 8GB microSD card but the more the better (32GB is optimal)

Yes, the file in the OP works fine but only for those devices which can use the JNX files just as I said. The correct file for UNIVERSAL PATCHING is indeed what you've now posted above. Kindly also give credits because you aren't the author of either of the patchers. The Universal patcher already has a thread in this forum anyway, . Moderators might consider merging because this is simply an update of IMGPatcher v1.20 anyway. The author is big-bang from g p s p o w e r regardless.

Where the 4 files come from .BIN and .TXT. of the patch. GARMIN .RAR?
The final file is not a .RNG
De donde salen los 4 archivos .BIN y el .TXT. del parche. GARMIN .RAR?
El archivo final no es un .RNG

@BYEDUS
Are you referring to an SD Flash for patching? If so, the BIN files are the individual components of an RGN file which can be seen in RGN_Tool. This is an easy alternate method for flashing devices with the firmware protection known as 'GVS' (Garmin/gupdate Verification Signature) which would otherwise reguire inital loading of patched fw using Updater.exe to flash an RGN in preboot mode. Once an official GCD file has been altered by the patching process, the devices with GVS protection will not allow direct flashing of that file because it does not pass the GVS check. That checking process is overcome and removed when the initial flashing is done by a patched RGN or BIN files.
The TXT file contains the commands to flash the BINS to the device's relevant regions (rgn14 [0x0E], rgn127 [0x7F] & rgn158 [0x9E]). Those commands are initiated by LDR.BIN which is simply the BOOT.BIN renamed.

The potential for confusion is less now that you've edited the initial post, that's provided readers now fully understand that Alex's JNX patcher is only for using JNX files freely on the handheld outdoor devices as shown in the link. It doesn't allow any modern protected auto or outdoor device to use unlocked detail maps, that's what big-bang's Universal patcher is for. Nevertheless, I do understand that your intention is good and it was simply an honest mistake as to the purpose of the two different pieces of software. Thanks for making the acknowledgements to the two authors too.
