Welcome to the forum.
Check your garmindevice.xml for your HWID that is the only way to identify which firmware is correct.

Tried to read forum. But still not sure which version of patcher is compatible with my device. I found inside device system folder file named : GUPDATE.GCD. Could somebody help me how to patch this file, and how to update device with patched firmware. Thank you.

@KVM66
At the top of each thread there is a facility to "Search Thread". In the dropdown place the HWID "2588" and you'll see all posts mentioning your DS61. In particular (Post #1601) which incidentally has a link to (Post #105).

Hello.
My firmware version is alredy 6.70 as posted (Post #1601). As i understand firmware downgrade is advisable? How to find previous version of firmware (I'm not sure which version#), and how to do downgrade ? Thank you.

@KVM66
no need to downgrade, the SD card kit has firmware that has been advance to 6.71 so will be fine

Even if the SD Kit did not have the SWVer increased there would be no problem when the same version of original firmware is onboard if updating is done by BIN files on card or by RGN in preboot.
It's only when a patched fw as GUPDATE.GCD file is placed in .System folder that either the version number must be increased or the onboard fw downgraded.
