It depends by Device Firmware, the behaviour could be different.
Anyway, there is no need to merge Maps into a unique file, as both Devices manage all the Maps you want in \Garmin folder.
If you store Maps separately the issue disappears at all.

I have a patched 66sr and I don't have the problem you mention, I have 6 IMG maps that I can select one by one without problem, but they must not have the same name. I also have personal JNX maps which work perfectly.

So yes, maybe in this case it doesn't work, you have to separate the maps.

@
This is a Patched Firmware (JNX + Unlocked Maps) for GPSMAP65/65s ver. 4.50
Since the GPSMAP65/65s (HWID: 3725) does not have the GSV and falls into category 2
MSV: Yes, GSV: ---
In this case the Patched Firmware guarantees the correct reading of Unlocked Maps, including NTU and TOPO Maps with CP 65001.
The Patched Firmware guarantees reading of BirdEyes JNX images too.
Also, in this case the "patched" Firmware can be loaded through the normal update procedure via WebUpdater
Be sure, after flashing the firmware, that version shown by Device is 4.51
Changes made from version 4.40 to 4.50:
- Fixed issue displaying areas on some maps.
Changes made from version 4.00 to 4.40:
- Added support for syncing courses with Garmin Explore.
- Improved navigation sync experience with Garmin Explore.
- Fixed an issue where GMU maps might not be visible when zoomed out.
- Fixed possible issue that could prevent tones from working.
- Fixed possible freeze when entering geocache next stage coordinates.
- Fixed possible issues when changing profiles while on the trip computer page.
- Fixed possible issue with inaccurate track distance with no GPX fix.
- Fixed possible issue displaying TOPO Great Britain maps.

Thanks FireFox58!
I tried to patch with your file as the procedure required for the GPSMAP 65S :
1 - convert the gcd file to a rgn with RGNTool.
2 - used UPDATER and followed these steps :
Holding the D-PAD (Up)
When the GPSMAP 65 displays "Software Loading"
Release the D-PAD (Up) button
The Updater will display a download progress bar
When the flash is complete, the updater will display a 'Successful Update' message
The GPSMAP 65S will restart with the new firmware version installed.
However, that version shown by Device is 4.50, not 4.51.
Many thanks for your help.

It is NOT correct!
Why did you use RGNTool and Updater? It's NOT necessary.
You can use simply WebUpdater, as indicated in my Post ()
As alternative way you can copy file GPSMAP65_(3725)_450_JNX_Patched.gcd in folder \Garmin of Device, renaming it as GUPDATE.GCD
Then Reboot Device to flash Frimware
The version shown by Device MUST be 4.51 after flash and reboot

Many many thanks !
I finaly succeded to upgrade my GPSMAP 65 with your firmware.
I used your methodogy with WebUpdater but I would like to add a precision : It was necessary to do a downgrade of my device (from the 4.50 to the 4.40) and after that, to do a upgrade with your file (from the 4.40 to the 4.5x).
Now the GPSMAP 65 is on 4.50 (not a 4.51) with your firmware and everything is working very well !!!
Thanks !!!
